Calculate the FXSol GTS Precious Metals Rollover

If you are long the instrument, you will be debited LIBOR + 3%. If you are short the instrument, you will be credited LIBOR - 3%.

Example #1

Let's assume the LIBOR rate is 4.00%.

If you are long 1 ounce of Gold for one night:

Rollover = (4.00% + 3.00%) x 1 ounce x $600.00/ounce = $42.00

You will be debited $42 from your account for the gold premium.

Example #2

If you are short 1 ounce of Gold for one night:

Rollover = (4.00% - 3.00%) x 1 ounce x $600.00/ounce = $6.00

You will be credited $6 to your account for the gold premium.

Formula for swaps:
Rollover = (LIBOR +/- 3.00%) x contracts x price x number of days
